by the best marketing tools:Washingtons "Grandpa Red's ReUnion" Wizardry

Grandpa Red went to a baseball re-union of all the players that played in the late 50's and during the 60's.
There was a couple of drastic things that he realized. One was he is getting old. But wow did he have a
great time. He saw some of the players during his time that played lots of pro ball. One in special was
Ken Tatum. Ken was the pitcher during his career that hit Tony Cogniglaro in the head and dislocated
his eye and put him out of baseball for life. It was a terrible time in his life for Ken that he willl never
forget. GR also had the chance to see Dell Unser, who he had not seen in  years. Dell played for the
Philidelphia Phillies for 15 years. He coached in the organization for 5 years. Then spent 10 years
in the front office. And now is a scout for the Phillies. Grandpa Red's brother has a grandson that has
maintained his game and it looks like he is headed to being drafted as a catcher out of high school.
GR also was able to see the group of basketball players that were signed during his freshmen year at
Miss. State University. Laughing and telling jokes was the norm of the day all day long. What a great
old-timer opportunity for him. GR said MSU's baseball field  was just absolutely beautiful. The campus
as he put it was just  a beautiful site to behold. GR did not get to see the coliseum called the HUMP on the
outside but, did not see it on the outside. GR is hoping that his favorite grandson(me) will quickly get back in the
athletic groove and continue playing sports. GR, however, has always said that there is different strokes
for different folks ,but he just wished he could have a little of the money made by his super grandson(me)
whatever is in his life's dreams.
